Dimitris Leventis, born in Athens, in the year 1962, is an experienced architect with a specialization in the restoration and conservation of monuments. He holds a Master’s Diploma in Monument Restoration and Protection from the Technische Universität München (Munich, Germany), and a degree in Architecture from the same institution. He has been active in both academia and professional practice since 1987.
From 1985 to 1990 he worked professionally in Greece and Germany and he has also contributed to traditional trades training programs in Greece, particularly in the restoration of historic buildings and the integration of new structures within historical environments.

Since 1990, he has worked as a freelance architect, collaborating with renowned architectural firms in Greece and Germany, until 2001, after which he established his own practice, “Leventis Architects” based in Athens, Greece. His work focuses on both the design of new buildings and the restoration of historical structures.

His expertise includes the integration of contemporary designs into heritage contexts, as well as specialized restoration projects. He holds professional certifications in various categories of building design and is an active member of the Greek Association of Architects. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Hellenic Society for Environment and Culture and Vice-Chairman of the Architectural Heritage Council and member of the Institute of Greek Mills. He is also a member of the Advisory Pane of the “7 Most Endangered” Program of Europa Nostra.
